FinanceCom 2022

Welcome to FinanceCom 2022 at the University of Twente, Netherlands

Dear Distinguished Speakers,

Dear Participants,

Dear Colleagues

We welcome you to the 11th International Workshop on Enterprise Applications, Markets and Services in the Finance Industry, at the University of Twente, Netherlands.

It is a true pleasure to organize this conference, which is now taking place for the 11th consecutive time, and, for the first time ever, at our university and in the Netherlands. We are excited to host 50 participants from Netherlands and all across Europe and the world as well as 30 distinguished speakers both from academia and industry. The conference brings together policy makers, national and European academics, participants from finance and industry and it serves as a forum for interdisciplinary discussion and exchange of ideas on the adoption of innovative technologies in finance and industry. Looking at this conference we have reason to be proud. This event has become a truly European event with participants and speakers from 13 countries globally. Some of our speakers even travel from as far away as the US, Kenya and Australia in order to be able to participate.

This year, the conference is also supported by the European Union under the COST (Cooperation in Science and Technology) scheme, the longest-running European intergovernmental framework for cooperation in science and technology. The COST Action 19130 Fintech and Artificial Intelligence is a research network connecting 200+ researchers from 49 countries globally. We are looking forward to hosting them.

We are confident that the selection of topics will be exciting and useful for all of us. The topics are covering some of the latest advances and techniques from academia and the financial industry: Blockchain, Financial Sentiment Analysis, Stress tests, stock price predictions, Fintech loans, Internet Measurements for Finance, an e-invoicing ecosystem, mobile payments, financial intermediary misconduct, machine learning, interest rate regulations, AI ethics, systemic risks, sustainability goals, Big Tech firms, generative adversarial networks, explainable artificial intelligence, the Digital Art index, AI-enabled decision systems, an effective analytics organisation, digital payments, corporate regulatory exposure, a data analytics framework, and many more.
